Cristy: Maternity

I meet Cristy and Kevin last weekend down at their condo in Power & Light for some city maternity photos. I loved this shoot, I don't get out of Weston too much so it was nice being able to tromp around downtown Kansas City. I hope one day I get to meet your little man!

A fave, I love the cool wintery feel of this session.

I laugh every time at the man in the bus.

Gorgeous!

Jax & Ellie

I wanted to get a few photos since it was 50 degrees yesterday and I have not had the chance to take Ella out for pics in 2 months (not that I am neglecting Jax but Ella is changing so quickly). I started getting Jaxon ready, and told him that if he gave me 10 minutes we would go to the park afterwards (I always discourage bribery but I resort to it too with my 2.5 year old). As we are walking out the door these are his words to me as he sighs heavily:
"Mom I don't likey pictures"
my response:
"Tough!"

P.S. He actually seems to love taking pictures but I believe it is the whole washing his face, combing his hair, and wearing jeans that gets to him. He is more of the pant less free-bird type. Ex: I took him to The Bounce House in Zona the other day, and after jumping for awhile he ran back to the table and came back with no pants on, I was informed that they were getting in the way of his jumping. I am going to get calls when he goes to school of him streaking! I am totally prepared for this!
Starting with my fave, Ella is growing some serious white blond locks!

& this is my next fave, I am partial they are my kids!

Isn't he sweet, he gets it from his dad.

Jaxon is barking at the dog across the street and Ella thinks it is hysterical!

Lauren & Troy: Engagement (take II)

We were rained out of the first one, and or makeup day just happened to be 11 degrees out. So to say the least we were freezing, they were especially freezing in their t-shirts! Love these photos so so much, and the blue dumpster WOW! Yes I said dumpster, I am always keeping it classy!
Trying to keep warm

The Blue Moon, one of my fave brick walls was demolished this week!

Next two are faves!

Lily: 1 year

We had another fairly decent day on Saturday for Lily Rose's 1 year photos! She was not sure about me at first but quickly warmed up and was quite the little ham. She absolutely loves mommy's phone and did a lot of dancing, and oh her squeezable cheeks, adorable!

Told you she was adorable!

Fave, mommy did an awesome job with her outfits.

I could not get enough of this yellow chair

This was suppose to be a surprise for daddy that she was having her pictures taken, it ended up not working out as she planned but glad they all got to come and get a few family shots. Laura's one request was this truck, for her hubby! I love it!

Lauren & Troy : Engagement

I am going to be meeting Lauren and Troy tomorrow to finish up their engagement shoot! Last week I watched the forecast hoping for snow, lots and lots of snow! Well an hour before the shoot snowflakes started coming down, and I was beaming! When we got started we were still getting a few flakes, but they quickly turned into rain, and then it was pouring down wetness (a mixture of rain & snow). Give me a cute umbrella and I would have been ok but with no cute umbrella we decided to try to finish up another day. So you will be seeing these two again soon. They are getting ready to move to Cali so tomorrow with freezing temps we are finishing up!

P.S. Heads up a super adorable one year old, and a pregnant belly in the city will be going up on the BLOG as well this week.

Norris Family (Shane's view)

I started editing my photos the other day, and though I brought Shane along never went through his to blog! I am such a bad wife! Though he thinks I do not love his photos I truly do, one of my favorite things is coming home and looking at his angle vs. mine. Most of the time he wins, no one is ever looking at him which makes them even more natural. So here are just two of my faves, and one of my hottie second shooter!

The end to the shoot Aidan looks amused by Shane!

Norris Family

I found a few takers to brave a winter session (be a fan on Facebook if you want to stay up to date on my specials). I have been bored for the last three weeks with hardly any shoots, and felt like I was getting rusty so I found some people willing to tackle the cold with me! It actually ended up being a pretty decent day in the mid 40's perfect for a few family pictures!
I was good friends with Kristi in high school and our two high school sweethearts (who we both married just to clarify) got a long too! Well Shane and I had a great time being entertained by her two older boys. A lot of throwing rocks & sticks, falling through ice, little brother hugs (which Beckett was not always a fan of), muddy shoes, and climbing trees, we ended up with some of my favorite images to date. Maybe I am not getting rusty after all! Enjoy this super adorable family...hopefully I will see them again!

Love Beckett's tongue, and Cale practicing his numbers!

Too Cute!

A train was going by, Cale stuck his hand up to his hear "I think I hear something"

Beckett has some huge smiles!

Fave! Aidan is very impressed at his throw!

This maybe my fave!

Love it! I love his hair too, he is to die for!

OK scratch that this one wins! He has such a big boy laugh!

Oh how things change in 7 years! Here are the four of us our senior year of high school too funny!

Our baskeball days, we were pretty good 1 win the whole season!

Courtwarming, Shane is still that excited that he is with me!
