Cristy: Maternity

I meet Cristy and Kevin last weekend down at their condo in Power & Light for some city maternity photos. I loved this shoot, I don't get out of Weston too much so it was nice being able to tromp around downtown Kansas City. I hope one day I get to meet your little man!

Niki : Maternity

I love maternity shoots and this one is no different. Niki and Adam are expecting a baby boy at the end of the month, they are doing the baby's 1st year package also so you will be seeing their little one every few months! We went around their gorgeous house taking pictures and even got a few amazing silhouettes at the end. I absolutely love them, Shane told me we would have to have another baby so I can get a silhouette of me pregnant! We are currently in a heavy debate whether we are through having kids I want one more he does not. So I got pretty excited over the comment but then he told me we can just shove a pillow up there and say it was Ella! Oh well! Here are my faves with Niki and Adam Enjoy!

This is my outside the box photo for the day, I always like to try something different. Sometimes it works sometimes it is a flop I kind of like this though. Adam held his glasses in the foreground for me to shoot through.



Another fave I love the between moments, and the Keep Out tire does not hurt either!

Audrey: Maternity (Take 2)

It was dark and cloudy when we did Audrey's maternity pictures. When I think of maternity I think of soft sunny photos in a big wispy field! So that is what we did, I love these so so much I did a little different editing on these which I am also enjoying a lot! She is so freaking gorgeous, I can hardly wait to see their little lady (I think it is a girl) in a few weeks!


Ok these are all my faves, but I love this one. I have been wanting to play around with silhouettes but never shoot late enough in the day. We did a lot of hunting for the perfect spot, and I think we found it, especially love the grass in the foreground.

Audrey : Maternity

Here are a few more from the other night with Greg & Audrey (I shot Greg & Audrey's wedding almost a year ago and am super excited to now be documenting them starting a family). It was a challenging shoot because we were lacking my favorite element....light. It had poured like crazy all morning and let up that afternoon but was extremely dark. I am hoping to take some more of Audrey in some yummy golden light before she pops. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the birth of the little one since it is the first grandchild on both sides and they have also decided to hold off on finding out the sex & telling the names they have chosen as well they want it to be a HUGE surprise. I just don't know how people do it, I am way to inpatient for that!






Fave, can't decide if I like it in b&w or color though so you get both!

Baby Hoffman: Teaser

I just have to share two photos from tonight's session that grabbed me while I was flipping through them. More soon but it is 1 A.M. and I need my beauty sleep (maybe it will get rid of all this poison ivy that is driving me nuts!) Just wanted to share the amazingness that I created tonight with the help of two soon to be amazing parents that are pretty amazing models. WOW I am tired...Goodnight Enjoy!

Sara + Tyler + Maizie (maternity)

Sara and Tyler are expecting little Maizie in just a few more weeks. This shoot took a lot of planning like my last one because of illness and rainy weather but we finally found a little time on Friday to take a few belly shots. It was windy and a little on the chilly side but they were both troopers. Their first baby, Cash makes a few appearances but was for the most part camera shy.

So look out for little Maizie's appearance at the beginning of Dec. and over the next year. Sara and Tyler decided to do the baby's first year session which includes maternity, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year so you will be seeing her a ton!

Yes, Maizie has the most adorable nursery, I love the orange! Oh yes, and meet Cash.












Fave, from the beginning Sara said she didn't have a serious face...I made her try once but I love her smile!
